Esports tournament platform FACEIT has offered its top-rated North American player ‘nocries‘ a place in its in-house FPL Circuit.
The offer follows the player’s visit to FACEIT’s New York headquarters to prove his innocence after several allegations of cheating surfaced. In recent weeks, nocries topped the North American ladder with an ELO rating of 4,354 earned over the course of 1,137 matches.
Interest in the performances of nocries has captured the attention of the community, battling cheating allegations thanks to their impressive in-game performances.
FACEIT’s FPL Circuit is a platform where professional players and selected new talents compete in private solo-queue matches. Players competing in the league frequently use the circuit for practice and to create content.
Nocries arrived at FACEIT’s headquarters on September 24th, 2025. The player competed in several CS2 matches under supervision and using hardware set up by the platform’s anti-cheat team to ensure a level playing field.
With nocries accepting an invite to compete in FPL, FACEIT has seemingly deemed him a legitimate player.
What Next For Nocries?
As a result of nocries attending the FACEIT headquarters to clear his name, the player has the potential to pursue a career in Counter-Strike 2 esports.
North America has struggled to compete with the rest of the world in 2025, failing to make the playoffs in several Tier 1 events. The most recent playoff appearance for a North American team was M80, which scored a top-six finish at BLAST Open London after defeating NAVI and Fnatic during the closed qualifiers.
After disproving the cheating allegations, it will be interesting to see if any team is interested in adding the hot prospect to their starting lineups.
