Gaming and esports event Glitched Festival has announced its return for 2026, taking place at Elmia in Jönköping, Sweden, from June 12th to 15th, 2026.
Glitched is a gaming and esports festival, made in collaboration with Elmia and partners such as Elgiganten and TCL. The festival lasts for four days and features a LAN area, competitions, esports tournaments, expo zones and more.
The return follows a successful debut earlier this year, from June 13th to 16th, which saw over 15,000 attendees at the LAN event.
Tickets will be on sale starting from September 26th, 2025, when the first hall and available seats will be revealed. Glitched further clarified that additional seats will be shared throughout the fall.
In a press release, Glitched shared the results of a survey with the 2025 premiere attendees. It reached a Net Promoter Score of 69, with some gamers calling it ‘world-class.’
Christoffer Melin, one of the Founders of Glitched, commented: “Glitched has achieved our goal of becoming Sweden’s best gaming festival – and we’re only getting started. The response from both attendees and partners has been overwhelming, and every evaluation points in the same direction: the community loves what we’re building together.”
Glitched has shared plans to further expand the festival area at Elmia for 2026, introducing new content and partners. Furthermore, LAN Districts will make a return for the upcoming festival, which are themed zones in the LAN area focusing on specific interests, playstyles and communities.
The festival was originally formed after key DreamHack business heads left the company to launch Glitched. It is spearheaded by DreamHack founder Martin Öjes, former Head of Operations Christoffer Melin and former DreamHack Chief Strategy Officer Tomas Lyckedal, with decades of experience between the trio.
How Sweden Has Become a Hub for Esports
Sweden has become a major hub for esports, with Glitched Festival becoming the latest LAN event to host competitive gaming within the country.
In 2025 alone, popular competitive games such as GeoGuesser have held majors in the European country. Furthermore, tournament operator ESL FACEIT Group have announced plans to hold Season 22 of the ESL Pro League in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Glitched Festival founders’ former company, DreamHack, will also hold an LAN event from November 28th–30th, 2025, in Stockholm. It features the DreamHack Knockout, a direct qualifier into ESL Pro League, alongside the first-ever major for THE FINALS, and the Overwatch Champions Series World Finals.
