Krafton has revealed key details surrounding the highly anticipated PUBG Global Championship (PGC) 2025 in Bangkok, unveiling a new format, schedule and prize pool.
The PGC 2025 is set to take place from November 28th to December 14th, 2025, as 33 teams from around the world compete in the event in Bangkok. This time, the tournament is happening as part of PUBG United, a unique initiative which combines the year-end championships for PUBG PC and PUBG Mobile.
The prize pool for the tournament is set at $1.5m (~£1.12m) but can be increased further through Pick’em Crowdfunding. Last year, it climbed to $1.78m (~£1.32m).
PGC 2025 Schedule
The PGC 2025 has been split into a Group Stage, Last Stage, and the Grand Finals. The schedule for these is as follows:
- Group Stage: November 28th to December 3rd
- Last Stage: December 5th to 7th
- Grand Finals: December 12th to 14th
PGC 2025 Format
The PGC 2025 will begin with a Group Stage, where 32 teams will be split into two even groups and compete against each other. The top five from each group will move to the Grand Finals, while the bottom three will be eliminated. The eight remaining teams will move to the Last Stage.
In the Last Stage, the 16 teams will compete for the final five slots in the Grand Finals.
Finally, the Grand Finals will feature one regional wildcard, in addition to the 10 teams from the Group Stage and the five teams from the Last Stage. The three-day event will crown the 2025 world champions.
PGC 2025 Teams
Currently, 10 of the teams have been confirmed, as the road to PGC has concluded in the Americas and Europe. These are as follows:
- Europe: Twisted Minds, Geekay Esports, Virtus.pro, FaZe Clan, and SLAMG.
- Americas: Team Liquid, FURIA, Mission Ready International Alliance, Al Qadsiah, and ROC Esports.
The venue for the Group Stage and the Last Stage is set to be the CentralWorld PULSE in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Grand Finals, however, will move to the Siam Paragon Hall in the city. Krafton has said that the venue will have local programmes, influencers and special fan zones.
The Siam Paragon has played host to multiple esports events in the past, including ESL One Bangkok 2024, the ESL Clash of Nations – Dota 2 in 2019, and, most recently, the FC Online Thailand Pro League Spring 2025.
