T1 has become the last LCK team to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship 2025.

The South Korean esports organisation booked its place at the season-ending event with a 3-1 victory over Dplus KIA in the LCK 2025 Season Playoffs.

After dropping into the elimination bracket following a 3-0 sweep by Hanwha Life Esports, a win over Dplus KIA was required in order to keep the qualification hopes of the defending world champions alive.

After Dplus KIA opened the best-of-five series with a win, T1 jungler Mun ‘Oner‘ Hyeon-jun excelled in game two, scoring a pentakill en route to levelling the series.

Oner’s pentakill marked the beginning of the end for Dplus KIA as T1 continued the game two momentum to follow up with the jungler continuing to dominate on Pantheon and Sylas to secure the next two games and a 3-1 series win.

As a result of defeating Dplus KIA in the lower bracket, T1 has secured its place at Worlds 2025 and has a chance to win its third consecutive world title.

What’s Next For T1?

After earning a place in the lower bracket semi-final of the LCK playoffs, T1 becomes the fourth and final team from the league to secure its place at Worlds.

For T1 mid-laner Lee ‘Faker‘ Sang-hyeok, the victory marks the player’s tenth appearance at the world championship and gives him a chance to win his sixth title.

T1 will take on Gen.G in the lower bracket as both teams look to secure a higher seed at Worlds 2025. The loser of the match will have to go through the play-in stage as the LCK’s fourth seed.
