Tournament organiser ESL FACEIT has revealed all eight Dota 2 teams from the regional closed qualifiers that have successfully advanced to the DreamLeague Season 27 tournament.
From Western Europe to North America, these teams are the first of 24 set to compete in the first major event of the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) 2025/2026 season.
These are all the Dota 2 teams that have qualified for DreamLeague Season 27 so far:
- Natus Vincere – Western Europe
- Virtus.pro – Western Europe
- AVULUS – Western Europe
- Runa Team – Eastern Europe
- Yakult Brothers – China
- BOOM Esports – Southeast Asia
- Wildcard – North America
- Chimpanzi Bananini – South America
Many of these teams, such as Yakult Brothers, previously qualified for DreamLeague Season 26 in the previous season.
The rest of the participating teams will be decided through invites (11 rosters) and through Division 2 Stage 1 (six rosters).
One of the top teams to look out for during the tournament includes Wildcard, a team that was invited to The International 2025 tournament and placed 9th out of 16 teams, outperforming other competitors like Natus Vincere and BOOM Esports.
What to Expect from DreamLeague Season 27
ESL’s DreamLeague Season 27 will take place as an online event from December 10th to 21st. 24 teams will compete for the lion’s share of a $1m (~£749,400) prize pool, with $250,000 (~£187,350) in club rewards and 19,500 EPT Points up for grabs.
EPT Points are awarded based on performance during a tournament and influence a team’s rank in the EPT leaderboards. The highest-ranking teams are invited to future prestigious events like DreamLeague.
The Dota 2 tournament will begin with a Swiss system Group Stage, with Bo3 matches. The Playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket, concluding with a Bo5 Grand Final. A detailed schedule has yet to be revealed.
All matches from ESL DreamLeague Season 27 will be broadcast live on ESL’s Dota 2 Twitch and YouTube channels.
DreamLeague Season 27 is the first event of the 2025/2026 season, which features a revamped format. After the event, fans can look forward to Season 28 and ESL One Birmingham taking place next year.
