Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise G2 Minnesota has finalised its roster to compete in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 season.
Following its rebrand, the franchise has recruited three new signings, including former CDL champion Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno.
After winning the CDL Championship in 2023, Skyz spent the last two seasons struggling to find success with stints representing Cloud9 New York, Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, and OpTic Texas. Now under the G2 Minnesota banner, the former champion has a chance to rediscover the form that saw him cement his place as one of the league’s top talents.
Joining Skyz on the starting lineup is the trio of Justice ‘Estreal‘ McMillan, Kyle ‘Kremp‘ Haworth, and Paul ‘Mamba‘ Solano.
Mamba joins following successes in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Challengers scene. In June, he won the Challengers Finals under the OMiT banner in addition to scoring a top-eight finish at the Esports World Cup.
The pairing of Kremp and Estreal is no stranger to competing in the Call of Duty League. Throughout 2024 and 2025, Kremp represented the Los Angeles Thieves and Cloud9 New York, while Estreal had competed under the Los Angeles Guerrillas banner before joining Minnesota Rokkr in July 2024.
G2 Minnesota In 2025
G2 Minnesota is one of several franchises that have undergone a rebrand ahead of the Black Ops 7 season. In October, G2 Esports revealed its new name, removing the Rokkr in favour of a more familiar moniker.
The rebrand marks a new chapter for a franchise that struggled to cement its place among the top names during last season. Despite scoring a top-six finish at Major 1 2025, it failed to qualify for the season-ending CDL Championship, finishing the regular season in 9th place.
Bringing in fresh faces for Black Ops 7 has the potential to establish G2 Minnesota as a formidable franchise. The roster is set to debut in the Monster Energy Launch Invitational, a pre-season event featuring all 12 CDL franchises and four amateur teams.
