Vietnamese professional League of Legends player Đỗ ‘Levi’ Duy Khánh has officially announced his retirement from competitive play.

The player made the announcement through a video on his birthday, hanging up his mouse and keyboard after ten years of competing. Within that time, the player established himself as one of the most respected competitors from Vietnam.

In the video, the Vietnamese player stated he had considered retirement for quite some time. Despite winning 10 domestic (VCS) championships, a gold medal at the 31st SEA Games, as well as having several MSI and Worlds appearances, Levi still holds some regret for not leading a Vietnamese organisation to great international results.

“There’s one thing I really wanted to do, and that is to help VCS go further in international tournaments,” he said. “For example, seeing a VCS team make it to at least the top 8 at Worlds. But right now, I have to leave without having achieved that.”

Levi added that he suffered from stomach issues, and he also started experiencing issues with his right hand this year. That said, he explained that the retirement was due to his desire to spend more time with his parents and family, and potentially start a family of his own.

At the end of the video, the player mentioned that he’ll transition to streaming, becoming a full-time content creator and potentially co-stream official matches in the future.

One of the Greatest Vietnamese LoL Players of all Time

Starting as a pro in 2015, Levi emerged as one of the best junglers from the Vietnamese region when he joined Gigabyte Marines, leading the team to both MSI and Worlds appearances.

His aggressive and skirmishing-heavy playstyle caught the attention of several tier-one teams, with North American team 100 Thieves deciding to pick him for the 2018 season. He then joined JDG in the LPL for the 2019 spring split, becoming one of the two Vietnamese players to play in the Chinese league (the other one being Lê ‘SofM’ Quang Duy).

That said, Levi didn’t leave a mark in China and later returned to his home region that same year to play for GAM Esports. He ultimately spent the last six years of his professional career with the Vietnamese organisation. While the player had great success domestically, GAM failed to repeat itself on the international stage.

This year, GAM missed out on Worlds qualification after getting knocked out by PSG Talon in the LCP Season Finals, putting an end to the team’s 2025 campaign.

With Levi retiring, GAM will now have to find a new jungler for the new season. Currently, only three players are signed for the coming season, as GAM will also need to lock in a new support for 2026.
