The exact release date for 2XKO, Riot Games’ new FGC title, has been accidentally leaked by the company itself.

It was revealed in a trailer (which has since gone private) that the 2v2 fighter is launching on January 20th, 2026. 2XKO will launch next month for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Riot Leaks 2XKO Launch Date

On December 30th, sharp-eyed FGC players spotted a trailer on 2XKO’s YouTube channel that announced an official launch date of January 20th, 2026. The free-to-play fighter is already available on PC in early access, but this would be the full launch on PC and console.

Clicking the link now leads to a private video. However, this isn’t totally shocking news, as Riot Games already confirmed a launch in January 2026 a while back. This video shared the exact date. This isn’t the first time that 2XKO accidentally leaked content ahead of schedule. Riot shared Blitzcrank’s addition to the roster ahead of schedule in the form of website artwork.

Here are the fighters that will be available when the game launches in January 2026:

  • Ahri
  • Blitzcrank
  • Braum
  • Darius
  • Ekko
  • Illaoi
  • Jinx
  • Teemo
  • Vi
  • Warwick
  • Yasuo

The game will launch as a free-to-play title with paid content, including a Battle Pass and cosmetics.

Ahead of its full launch, Riot Games has already laid down the structure for its esports scene. Similar to other FGC titles, 2XKO will be featured across various third-party competitions in 2026. This includes Frosty Faustings XVIII at the start of the year, as well as both Evo events in Japan and Las Vegas.
