SNK has announced that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2 is scheduled to release in January 2026.

According to an official post on X (formerly Twitter), SNK will soon share more details about Season 2. The FGC is speculating that a trailer could be coming during The Game Awards 2025, which takes place on December 11th.

What Is Coming in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves Season 2?

With the arrival of Mr. Big coming sooner than initially planned, the FGC has turned its attention to Season 2. It’s likely that developers have as well.

Unfortunately, SNK has not revealed any information about Season 2 so far. Of course, players can expect new DLC fighters like Season 1.

Before City of the Wolves was launched, Producer Yasuyuki Oda told 4gamer: “We did say that for the launch, we’ll have 17 characters and with the downloadable content after we’re adding five more, so for Season 1 there will be a total of 22 characters.

“As of right now, we have plans as far as a Season 3, so by the end we’re hoping we’ll have a pretty broad spectrum of characters available.”

This confirms that new fighters are on the way. However, we are not sure which characters are planned.

Some of the most speculated fighters include Gao, Mary, Jae Hoon, and Duck King. Geki Gao is mentioned in multiple characters’ story endings in City of the Wolves, including his son, Gato. Gato is known for his swift kicks and oppressive playstyle, including aerial fighting, so Gao could be similarly aggressive.

In past games, Blue Mary has been a rushdown fighter that uses fast hops and tricky mixups to put on the pressure. She can control space or create chaotic clashes, making her an exciting addition to the roster.

Meanwhile, Kim Hae Hoon emulates his father’s fighting style but infuses fire on certain attacks. Duck King utilises breakdancing moves to rush down opponents, compensating for his lack of power by being unpredictable.

Some players have expressed not wanting more guest fighters on the roster, hoping that Fatal Fury will stick to characters from past games in the series.
