Red Bull has released a documentary on the top Tekken 8 player in the world, titled ‘The Story of Arslan Ash, King of Tekken.’

“Arslan Ash didn’t just rise to the top of Tekken, he rewrote what greatness looks like,” Red Bull stated. “From humble beginnings in Pakistan to dominating the world’s biggest stages, this documentary follows Arslan’s journey through adversity, doubt, and history-making victories.

“It is a story of discipline, belief, and a player who became a legend: the world’s best Tekken player.”

Arslan Ash Dominates Tekken 8 Esports

Arslan Ash is the current undisputed GOAT of Tekken 8’s esports scene.

Arslan Ash, aka Arslan Siddique, currently has seven Evo championship titles:

  • Evo Japan 2019
  • Evo 2019
  • Evo Japan 2023
  • Evo 2023
  • Evo 2024
  • Evo 2025
  • Evo France 2025

In 2023 and 2024, Arslan Ash also won the Tekken World Tour. His consistency in the Tekken esports scene has earned him the reputation as the greatest player of all time. Easily.

Arslan Ash started his journey in the arcades in Pakistan. However, by the time he competed in the Pakistan Tekken 6 Grand Masters Championship, he had started to become very well-known and respected in the scene. Unfortunately, his financial situation wouldn’t allow him to travel beyond his country to compete.

By 2018, he had raised enough money to compete in KOF GCC in Oman, where he won the Tekken 7 tournament and placed 4th in the King of Fighters XIV tournament.

He previously told Red Bull that he didn’t plan to be a full-time esports competitor and wanted to become a doctor. His family was a bit concerned with him giving up his studies, but Arslan Ash was determined to show that esports was the ‘right path.’

Arslan Ash continued to travel around the world competing, ultimately winning Evo Japan 2019 despite an ongoing visa issue that forced him to arrive in Japan late.

Now, Arslan Ash uses his talent and notoriety to support the Pakistani esports scene. During COVID, he set up a bootcamp for local players to compete in Tekken. Fans often have stories of Arslan Ash going out of his way to help them or raise money.

Going into 2026, Arslan Ash will no doubt be looking to take every Evo event he attends. While he has previously said that the extended Evo schedule has watered down its prestige, there’s no denying that winning every single one would bring that prestige right back up.
