Call of Duty has unveiled new anti-cheat measures launching alongside the first-person shooter title’s Ranked Play modes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone.

The introduction of stronger cloud-based attestation aims to add a layer of protection against cheaters before a match begins.

In a social media post, the team behind Call of Duty’s Ricochet anti-cheat revealed that the addition of cloud-based attestation builds on its efforts to prevent cheaters from negatively impacting Call of Duty’s competitive modes.

Ricochet anti-cheat states that the new measures, combined with Secure Boot and TPM 2.0, sets ‘a new security bar for one of our most competitive modes.’

“This approach verifies PC integrity using Microsoft Azure Attestation, directly countering attempts to bypass system-level protections,” revealed Ricochet.

“It’s the most robust attestation technology available today, and we’re bringing it first to Ranked Play, giving our competitive players the most secure experience possible.”

For the Black Ops 7 cycle, Activision has increased its efforts to crack down on cheaters impacting Call of Duty’s multiplayer and battle royale offerings. During the Black Ops 7 beta, the publisher claimed 97% of hackers were caught and banned within 30 minutes of signing in.

When Is Black Ops 7 And Warzone Season 2?

Based on the in-game battle pass countdown timer, Season 2 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone will launch on February 5th, 2026.

The second post-launch update brings Ranked Play to multiplayer and the battle royale, providing an experience replicating the Call of Duty League (CDL) and high-profile Warzone tournaments.

Ensuring a level playing field in competitive playlists is crucial when providing players with a platform. With new measures aiming to stop cheaters before a match begins, it will be interesting to see if Call of Duty’s Ranked Play modes can reduce the number of players looking to gain an unfair advantage.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
