OpTic Texas has continued its fine run of form in the Call of Duty League (CDL) as the dust settles on the third week of qualifiers for the first Major of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

The Green Wall heads into week four topping the table as the first franchise to score four wins from its first five matches.

OpTic Texas’s Continued Dominance

Despite a 3-0 defeat to FaZe Vegas in its opening match of week three, OpTic Texas bounced back against Vancouver Surge. The defending CDL champions opened the best-of-five with a 250-193 win on Exposure Hardpoint before a 6-0 whitewash on Den Search and Destroy secured a two-map advantage.

Vancouver Surge responded on Scar Overload with a 4-3 scoreline to reduce the deficit, but OpTic Texas continued to assert its dominance with a 250-152 win on Den Hardpoint to secure the 3-1 series victory.

Midfield Battle Intensifies

Elsewhere, the battle between the midfield continues to heat up, with four franchises scoring their third victories of the Major 1 qualifiers. Paris Gentle Mates and Toronto KOI sit in joint second following victories over Cloud9 New York and Los Angeles Thieves.

As a result of sweeping aside OpTic Texas, FaZe Vegas remains in touching distance of the top spot with a win-to-loss record of 3-1 after three weeks of play.

Joining the midfield is Riyadh Falcons, which is continuing to discover form as the Black Ops 7 cycle progresses. A hard-fought win over G2 Minnesota moves the Saudi-based franchise ahead of Los Angeles Thieves and Boston Breach.

What’s Next?

As the first LAN event of the year moves into view, attention turns to the final two weeks of online qualifiers that determine which teams begin the tournament in the upper bracket and which start in the lower bracket.

For OpTic Texas, victory against Los Angeles Thieves in week four all but guarantees a place in the upper bracket.

Taking place from January 16th to 18th, 2026, fans can tune into week four of the CDL Major 1 qualifiers across the league’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
