G2 Esports has announceda partnership with NORD Esports to launch a new League of Legends team.

The newly-formed G2 NORD will compete in the Prime League, the European Regional League (ERL) for DACH, to build a roster capable of contending at the top of the table and achieving strong results at EMEA Masters.

As previously announced, NORD Esports will no longer compete in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC).

German insurance company LVM Versicherung is supporting the project as a founding partner. According to a blog post published by the organisation, the company is helping invest ‘in the future of rising League of Legends talent in Germany’.

“From the very beginning, G2 has always had the ambition to build a truly global organisation, one that captures hearts and minds of fans all over the world,” said Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports.

“This project is about reconnecting, listening, and building something that German fans can truly call their own. Our hope is that through G2 NORD, even more fans in Germany will feel fully part of the G2 Army.”

The G2 NORD project will be spearheaded by former League of Legends player Niklot ‘Tolkin‘ Stüber, who will act as President of the team.

G2 NORD’s roster is as follows:

  • Francesco ‘Shelfmade‘ Cardia
  • Mark ‘Markoon‘ van Woensel
  • Alex ‘Toasty‘ Chea
  • Khalil ‘Rin‘ Sahraoui
  • Timo ‘Tockimo‘ Bock

G2 Esports And League Of Legends

The organisation is a stalwart of the European League of Legends scene, competing in the highest tier of competition since 2014 under the Gamers2 banner.

Recently, the organisation disbanded G2 Hel, its women’s League of Legends team, following three years of success in European competitions.

Armed with a roster equipped with experience and potential to grow, it will be interesting to see how G2 NORD performs against the Prime League’s established names.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
