MOONTON Games unveils MLBB Media Championship and M7 Media Awards

With Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s M7 World Championship underway, MOONTON has announced the MLBB Media Championship (MMC), a tournament for on-site media.

Additionally, the developer has revealed the M7 Awards for Best Media, featuring three categories: Trendspotter Award, Best in Esports Business Journalism Award, and the Outstanding Feature Award.

All three award categories, including the MMC, are being supported by realme. The realme 15 Pro is the official device of the M7 as well.

“Hosting the MMC alongside the M7 gives us a chance to showcase the ecosystem behind MLBB Esports,” said Adrian Cher, Global Head of Partnerships for MLBB Esports at MOONTON Games.

“Esports is more than just the game and our players. What many don’t get to see is how technology powers gameplay and how our valued media partners bring these moments to life for audiences around the world.”

The MMC will see up to eight on-site media teams compete across elimination rounds and the grand finals. The champions will receive five realme smartphones. Additionally, a prize pool of 270,000 Diamonds is on the line as well.

Each of the winners of the M7 Awards for Best Media, on the other hand, will also receive a realme smartphone, 50,000 Diamonds, and a certificate of recognition.

“With the realme 15 Pro’s immersive esports features, media will have the chance to explore the technical side of competitive play and experience how innovation shapes competitive play.”

The MLBB M7 World Championship is taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, from January 3rd to 25th.

Currently, the wildcard stage is underway, with eight teams competing for the last two slots in the M7’s Swiss stage. After two days, Team Zone is dominating Group A, while Guangzhou Gaming and Virtus.pro are starting strongly in Group B.

While Team Zone has already made it to the Decider Stage from Group A, the rest of the slots are yet to be decided.

Following this, the Swiss stage will unfold from January 10th. moving one step closer to crowning a world champion.
