Ubisoft has officially launched Rainbow Six Mobile worldwide, bringing the tactical shooter to Android and iOS devices.

The global release marks the end of its soft-launch phase after nearly four years of closed beta tests and seasonal updates.

Rainbow Six Mobile arrives one week after Operation Sand Wraith went live, with the season carrying over into the live game. The season brings a new attack operator, Deimos, who can use his DeathMARK Tracker gadget to reveal himself and a selected target to each other.

Operation Sand Wraith has also added a number of limited-time events, including the Most Wanted 3v3 mode, Unbridled Fire Year of the Horse festive event, Ranked Challenges and more.

Rainbow Six Mobile Development History

Ubisoft first unveiled Rainbow Six Mobile back in 2022, though the title had already been in development for three years. The developer opened registrations to its alpha version several weeks later. The first closed beta followed later that year, offering players a first glimpse into the mobile shooter through a soft launch.

After launching Closed Beta 2.0 in 2023, Rainbow Six Mobile’s access was made limited, with a number of servers shutting down and the game available to a select few soft launch countries. However, the title opened for wider player base again in 2024, with features such as a new in-game economy, additional playlists, and more.

From 2025 onwards, Ubisoft continued to work on Rainbow Six Mobile’s transition to the global launch. Seasonal updates brought familiar operators from the main game, alongside limited-time events, and other quality-of life-changes.

In December 2025, Ubisoft announced that Rainbow Six Mobile’s global launch would take place on February 23rd, 2026. Various campaigns were held in anticipation for the full release, including offering in-game rewards for reaching community registration milestones, and opening the Operation: Spotlight creator programme for influencers.

A Content Creator Showdown was held on January 17th, 2026, promoted by the official Rainbow Six Mobile account, featuring teams led by influencers ‘Gaspard‘ and ‘Astaa‘. Additionally, various influencers also confirmed their participation in another Creator Showdown, which is scheduled to begin on March 6th, 2026.

The Rainbow Six Mobile Streamer Festival will also take place from March 28th to 29th, 2026. The event will feature retired Rainbow Six Siege X professional player Yudai ‘Wokka‘ Ichise and ENTER FORCE.36 coach Ryota ‘Window‘ Hirata, alongside other content creators.
