Riot Games has revealed all the awards for the 2026 League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) season.
The first award will be given to the Finals MVP of the LEC Versus Finals this weekend, with regular season awards, All-Pro Awards, and Finals MVP for both Spring and Summer Splits.
Additionally, the LEC Rookie of the Year will be crowned at the end of the summer split.
The 2026 LEC Awards have been a long-standing tradition to commemorate outstanding players during each competitive season.
According to the press release, each award will have strict eligibility rules and will go through a structured voting process for competitive integrity.
Season MVP Award
For the Season MVP, the voting process will take place before the start of each Split’s Playoffs. The panel of experts will include pro players and team staff, as well as journalists, broadcast partners, and on-air talents. Each voter will select their top three candidates, with the award given to the player receiving most votes.
Riot Games also explained that there will be no Season MVP for LEC Versus considering its condensed regular season format.
All Pro Teams, Finals MVP, and Rookie of the Year
The All-Pro awards recognise best-performing players from the regular season. Experts will select their top three players for each role, with the final rankings based on the total number of votes received. All players who have participated in at least six games of the regular season will be eligible.
The Finals MVP, on the other hand, will be chosen from the players on the winning team at the end of the Grand Final.
For Rookie of the Year, the criteria are stricter. This year’s restrictions require players to have competed in at least two of the three 2026 Splits, be active in the LEC at the time of the vote, and have participated in 50% of each Split’s scheduled games.
Riot explained that the decision of not considering players who only take part in the Summer Split comes from a fairness perspective and aims to reward consistent performance across a large sample size.
Additionally, a player will only be eligible for Rookie of the Year award nomination once in their career, including across other regions, and must not have participated in more than four Splits.
