Riot Games has shared details on a new competitive VALORANT experience debuting at VALORANT Masters Santiago.

The inaugural edition of the Skirmish Series sees event attendees compete in one-versus-one matches for a chance to win a range of prizes and to face influencers and special guests.

Unveiled across VALORANT Esports’ social media channels, select days of Masters Santiago will feature four single-elimination tournaments open to 64 players looking to showcase their skills.

The winner of each qualifying tournament earns two tickets to the event on March 14th and a place in the Final Tournament, which determines the eventual champion.

The remaining players will compete alongside influencers and content creators in a 32-player double-elimination bracket played on the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) stage once the Masters matches have concluded. Notably, Riot Games hasn’t shared details on the influencers and content creators set to compete.

Riot Games reveals that the number of participants may increase depending on interest and that the format will change to ensure a smooth experience for those competing.

VALORANT’s developer and publisher says the Skirmish Series aims to ‘celebrate the local community’ alongside creating ‘a competitive experience that’s exciting to watch, meaningful to play in, and welcoming to top players.’

Further VCT Community Engagement

VALORANT’s Skirmish Series continues to demonstrate Riot Games’ ability to use esports as a fan engagement tool. Instead of using other initiatives to engage fans, Masters Santiago attendees can compete on the same stage as the world’s very best players.

In addition to the Skirmish Series, the return of Pick’Ems remains an integral part of offering fans ways to interact with the VALORANT esports ecosystem.

Depending on the success of the inaugural event at Masters Santiago, it will be interesting to see whether Riot Games decides to roll out the one-versus-one tournament at other VCT events taking place throughout 2025.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
