Japanese esports organisation ZETA DIVISION has announced that it is re-establishing its Apex Legends roster for the 2026 season.
The organisation’s new line-up includes Yuga ‘YukaF‘ Horie, who has transferred from Fnatic, alongside professional players ‘Mike‘ and Satoki ‘satuki‘ Sugatoni.
According to an official press release, ZETA DIVISION is set to compete in the APAC North region, starting with the 2026 Online Open on February 28th. It marks the Japanese organisation’s return to Apex Legends after being absent from the title for nearly four years.
YukaF’s has left Fnatic after representing the London-based organisation for four years. His transfer to ZETA DIVISION was teased shortly after his departure through various commercial partners such as Red Bull and Void Gaming.
Additionally, Fnatic’s former Apex Legends coach Shuhei ‘Shuhei Yamato‘ Yamato and analyst ‘takuron‘ have also joined the organisation.
The esports brand has also signed Mike, who last played for SBI e-Sports during Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 5. He recently qualified for the ALGS Year 5 Championship, where his squad placed 17th out of the 40 international teams that participated.
Finally, satuki has competed across a number of organisations since 2021. He represented Fnatic during the 2023/2024 season, securing 18th place in the Apex Legends tournament at the 2024 Esports World Cup.
ZETA DIVISION’s Apex Legends History
ZETA DIVISION’s history in Apex Legends dates back to January 2020, back when the organisation was known as JUPITER. It entered the battle royale’s esports scene by unveiling two teams: JUPITER XENA and JUPITER VEGA.
The following months saw old players leave the organisation, and new ones join. It wasn’t until a year later in 2021 that JUPITER rebranded to ZETA DIVISION, transferring the remaining players to V3 VEGA and signing a new Apex Legends roster on August 31st.
However, after the roster’s contract with ZETA DIVISION expired in July 2022, the organisation disbanded its Apex Legends team. ZETA DIVISION did not field another line-up in the title in the years that followed.
Since the organisation started competing as JUPITER in 2020, it has historically struggled to perform at the highest level. Its highest achievement to date is placing 18th at the ALGS 2022 Championship, but only time will tell whether ZETA DIVISION will see better results in Year 6 of ALGS.
