Esports betting provider Oddin.gg has put out its second annual Esports Betting Review, which looks at how the industry changed in 2025 based on bets made through its global partner network.
The report, in particular, highlights five top games: Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, VALORANT, and, for the first time, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. All of these games saw double-digit growth from one year to the next, according to the company.
The main discussion in the 2025 edition is that growth alone is no longer the best sign of a healthy market. Oddin.gg’s analysis shows that 2025 showed clear differences in how each title does business.
These differences included live betting dominance, rising average stakes, the acceleration of player-focused markets, and stronger regional league engagement, all of which are signs of maturity. Most importantly, those signals didn’t show up evenly across titles.
Key Data Points and Market Context
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was included in the report for the first time, recording 41% year-over-year bet count growth and 62% betting volume growth, signalling the growing commercial weight of mobile esports in regionally driven markets.
Compared to other esports, Counter-Strike 2’s betting volume growth was 30%, with Dota 2 and League of Legends growing 31% and 46%, respectively.
The report also builds on data from the previous edition, which found that betting volume across Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and VALORANT has continued to rise. Out of those titles, League of Legends recorded the highest bet count growth, increasing by 32%.
Another interesting figure that Oddin shared was the average bet stake for select international esports events. According to its data, the average VALORANT Champions 2025 bet was €47 (~£40), an increase of 21% year-on-year. League of Legends Worlds’ average bet stake increased an impressive 166% to €77 (~£66).
Marek Suchar, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Oddin.gg, commented: “Billions of bets flow through the Oddin.gg network annually, giving us a read on esports betting that’s hard to get anywhere else. We’ve spent years innovating to move this industry forward.
“Watching the industry mature in 2025 was validating; this is the landscape we’ve been building toward.”
