Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the Overwatch x Project YoRHA crossover event in collaboration with NieR Automata.

Scheduled to release on March 10th, the event will bring new skins to Overwatch’s cast of heroes inspired by the action RPG.

Though the full list of skins has not been confirmed, several upcoming event skins were revealed on Overwatch’s social media handles. Characters that appear in the key art potentially include Lifeweaver as Adam, Vendetta as A2, Wuyang as 9S, Mercy as a YoRHa Commander, and Kiriko as the series’ protagonist, 2B.

As of writing, skin prices have yet to be confirmed. However, past collaborations sold themed bundles for 2,800 Overwatch Coins (~$30/£23), so it’s possible that the new skins may be priced similarly.

Though unconfirmed, the keyart also showcases a new look for the in-game map Blizzard World, hinting that a limited-time mode may arrive in the Overwatch x Project YoRHA event.

It is not the first time the NieR Automata franchise has collaborated with esports titles. Back in 2022, Rainbow Six Siege released themed bundles for Iana and Maverick in collaboration with NieR Automata. 2024 also saw several collaborations, with skins arriving to the battle royale PUBG Mobile and tactical first-person shooter Call of Duty Mobile.

Overwatch’s Past Collaborations

The popular hero-shooter and esports title Overwatch has released a number of collaborations over the years. These events include a number of themed skins to purchase, in addition to bringing challenges and limited-time modes.

In 2025, back when the game was called Overwatch 2, the game teamed up with franchises such as Persona 5, and worked with competitive titles such as Street Fighter. The hero shooter has also established partnerships outside of gaming, working on multiple collaborations such as with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM, and launching events for franchises such as G.I. Joe.

In 2026, Hello Kitty arrived during Overwatch Season 1: Conquest as the first collaboration since the game’s rebrand, offering six skins from February 10th to 23rd. Additionally, leaks and rumors suggest that Overwatch may collaborate with the battle royale title Fortnite in a future season.
