OpTic Gaming, the esports organisation and NGAGE Esports – the broadcast and events management company launched by Infinite Esports and Entertainment, have announced a new event called “OpTic Arena”.

The event will be held between June 8-10th and see a series of esports activities take place at A-Kon, a convention that accumulates 33,000+ attendees each year in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Arena will feature a series of games events that attendees can participate in with the chance to earn prizes and merchandise. Tickets for the three-day event include access to A-Kon as well and start from $65 per person.

The event will see Call of Duty, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Street Fighter V all there for players to compete in. OpTic’s initial rise to fame came through Call of Duty so it seems apt that it features amongst three FGC titles at the event.

The Super Smash Bros tournament will have a $5,000 pot bonus and so too will Dragon Ball FighterZ and Street Fighter V. The release does not reveal any details about any potential prize money for playing Call of Duty, however.

In addition to the aforementioned activities, OpTic professional gamers and and streamers will be at the event both streaming and taking part in the wider exhibition. The professionals have not been revealed yet but with OpTic playing in every single big esport title there’s bound to be some big names at the event.

A-Kon is the longest running anime convention in North America and is one of the largest in the U.S. Founded in 1990, A-Kon is home to over 33,000 fans and active community enthusiasts of anime, gaming, cosplay, music, fashion, manga, art, film, media and Japanese culture. It’s not unusual to see gaming tournaments tagged onto anime conventions and it’s good to see OpTic driving fan engagement initiatives.

Esports Insider says: For any OpTic Fans in Texas – head on down. You may have to endure some anime, but when there’s esports involved maybe it’s just about tolerable. As we said – it’s great to see fan engagement initiatives in the local area and we look forward to seeing more from different teams.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
