NASCAR‘s exclusive console simulation-style video game licensee, 704Games, and Esports Arena Drive – the ‘first mobile esports arena’ – are working together to deliver NASCAR Heat Champions at the Daytona International Speedway during the DAYTONA 500 race weekend.

NASCAR Heat Champions

Running from February 15th and finishing on February 18th, the tournament will take place on the aforementioned Esports Arena Drive which was shown off last month at the Consumer Electronics Show. It’s an 80 foot, 18 wheel, 35 tonne semi-trailer that can become a competition stage in the blink of an eye.

Ed Martin, President of 704Games, explained the competition: “NASCAR Heat Champions is a unique gaming tournament open to NASCAR and video game fans of all ages. Fans will be able to experience the excitement of NASCAR Heat 2 on a one-of-a-kind stage at the biggest race event of the year.”

Tyler Endres, CEO of Esports Arena commented on the upcoming debut of its make-shift competition platform. He said: “We are excited to have Esports Arena Drive make its debut at the iconic DAYTONA 500, one of the most popular fan events in sports. Thanks to our partnership with 704Games, NASCAR Heat 2 fans will have the opportunity to compete and win prizes through a whole new experience at Daytona International Speedway.”

Open practices will be held on Thursday, leading to qualification matches on Friday and Saturday, with a last-chance qualifier taking place early on Sunday. Then, fifteen skilled finalists will face off in three races until one racer emerges victorious. The winner will be on the receiving end of prizes such as an Xbox One S and a VIP DAYTONA 500 experience, among other things.

The finals will be live streamed on Esports Arena’s Twitch channel on Sunday, so keep your eyes peel that weekend to see the top players in action!

Esports Insider says: We love how open this tournament is, and it’ll be interesting to see just how effective Esports Arena Drive is as a stage for competitive gaming.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
