London Spitfire has teamed with Logitech G for a year-long partnership that will see the Overwatch team kitted out with various gear from the peripheral company.

Spitfire recently won Stage 1 of Blizzard’s Overwatch League, and will be using Logitech G’s equipment to assist with its player’s gameplay moving forward.

Logitech G is the first sponsorship for the franchise, which is owned by Cloud9, and its logo will be added to the London Spitfire jersey – which will be debuted when the team takes on Florida Mayhem on March 1st. Logitech G has been a sponsor of Cloud9 for numerous years, so this new partnership seems like a natural progression between the companies.

Jack Etienne, Owner and CEO, London Spitfire said the following in regards to the partnership: “We know the quality that Logitech G brings with its top-notch gear. We’ve worked with Logitech G for many years at Cloud9 and we’re thrilled to continue that relationship now with London Spitfire.”

Ujesh Desai, Vice President and General Manager, Logitech Gaming also commented: “We’re proud to begin a partnership with the Overwatch League’s London Spitfire. As major Overwatch fans, we’re excited to supply the gear to help them win big. Winning aside, the team has been an excellent representative for the Logitech G brand, showing great sportsmanship and appreciation for their fans.”

London Spitfire, as of this partnership being announced, is ranked fifth in the overall standings in the Overwatch League. The team has an overall win-loss record of 8-4 and saw success in the Stage 1 playoffs after defeating Houston Outlaws and New York Excelsior.

Esports Insider says: Who didn’t see this coming? Cloud9 has been partnered with Logitech G for some years now, and with London Spitfire performing well in the Overwatch League, this sponsorship is perfect for both parties.
