Esports and data analytics company HUDstats has entered a partnership with DreamHack Sports Games, DreamHack’s sports simulation business unit.

As a result of the deal, the company’s data analytics technology will provide the business unit with data to show statistics from competitions.

HUDstats covers a number of esports titles ranging from Electronic Arts (EA)’s Madden, FIFA, and National Hockey League (NHL) franchises alongside League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS:GO.

The company’s Advanced Video Analysis (AVA) can supposedly deliver data at a “sub-second speed.” It claims to be the only analysis tool to provide such a service.

The deal marks HUDstats first partnership with an esports tournament organiser.

Launched in 2019, DreamHack Sports Games focuses on operating tournaments involving sports games. It operates tournaments for the likes of the Swedish Professional Football Leagues, the Eredivisie football league, and the NHL.

Dennis Kristensen, Executive Producer at DreamHack Sports Games, spoke on the deal: ‘’It is great to have HUDstats working with us to provide top-notch data for our live graphics.

“Their proven technology will have a great impact on the quality of our live broadcasts and season-long storytelling. Teaming up with HUDstats is an exciting journey for our company to join a new world of AI technology.”

In May, HUDstats closed its latest financing round led by venture capital firm Pinorena Capital. Following the funding round, the company aims to open new revenue streams for tournament organisers through what it called previously unavailable data.

Data continues to prove valuable for tournament organisers. Recently, GRID Esports extended its partnerships with management company EMG and tournament organiser StarLadder.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
