Clash Royale League welcomes eight top NA organisations

Supercell, the developers behind hit title Clash Royale, has today confirmed that eight of North America’s top esports organisations, will be joining the Clash Royale League.

They are Cloud9 Esports, Team SoloMid, Tribe Gaming, Immortals, NRG, Complexity, 100 Thieves and Counter Logic Gaming.

Following on from the inaugural event in 2017, won by sergioramos:), Supercell followed this up with the Clash Royale League Challenge which offered players the chance to be signed by one of these pro teams. Twenty five million players competed to qualify for the CRL in 2018, with just under 7,000 players from 113 different countries making it to the next round.

Next up, the pro teams involved will look at forming their rosters ahead of the finals later in the year which boast a $1 million (£710,954) prize pool.

Whilst those mentioned previously will represent the NA region, the European region will be represented by Fnatic, Misfits, SK Gaming, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, Team Queso, Team Dignitas and Allegiance.

Mainland China will be represented by EDG.M, GO, JDG, LGD, NOVA, OP, SNAKE, WE. Asia, which is all of Asia other than mainland China, will be represented by OGN Entus, Sandbox, Kingzone, OP.GG, GameWith, PONOS Sports, DetonatioN Gaming, FAV Gaming, AHQ ESPORTS CLUB, KIX, Chaos Theory and Bren Esports. These two regions will have a Spring Season which runs from March 23-Jun 3 in China, and April 27 – July 14 in Asia. Other regions in the world will begin competing with the Fall Season in August. All these lead up to the World Finals in the winter of 2018, with the exact dates to be announced. 

The teams representing the Latin American region of the Clash Royale League are yet to be announced.
