OpTic Gaming bolsters North American sales team with two key hires

North American esports organisation OpTic Gaming has secured two new hires as the company looks to bolster its North American sales team.

As a result, Rachel Alexander and Tony Constantacos have joined the organisation as its new Director of Sales and Partnerships and Director of Business Development, respectively.

In their new roles, both Alexander and Constantacos will work towards attracting new national and international sponsors. They will also focus on OpTic’s mission of introducing more brands to esports audiences, content creators, digital media and live events. 

Prior to joining OpTic, Alexander spent two decades in broadcast, radio and digital media sales, having recently worked in a senior role with TEGNA’s Integrated Audience Solutions division. She has also held similar roles with Cumulus Sportsradio and Infinity Broadcasting.

On the other hand, Constantacos was a former professional esports player who made the transition to business consulting and leadership roles at EC Innovations, Altnext and Thunder Gaming.

According to the release, Constantacos will be based in Los Angeles and Alexander is working from OpTic’s Dallas-based headquarters. Both will report to Erin Schendle, Senior Vice President of Sales and Partnerships, who joined the company in 2021.

Schendle commented on the new hires: “With their extensive knowledge and backgrounds in media, entertainment, and the influence of gaming, I’m thrilled to see how Rachel and Tony will accelerate our work to connect brands with OpTic’s teams, streamers, and content. Driving authentic engagement with brand and agency partners will continue to take OpTic to new heights.”

The news of Alexander and Constantacos’ appointment follows the organisation’s latest commercial project – ‘OpTic Day’ with Belong Gaming Arenas. 

Earlier this year, OpTic also announced that it absorbed Envy Gaming under its brand, with all existing Envy teams will compete under the OpTic name going forward.
