Indian esports organisations S8UL and Global Esports have announced a strategic partnership that focuses on bolstering the VALORANT esports ecosystem in India.
The partnership will see S8UL, an organisation that won ‘Content Group of the Year’ at the 2022 Esports Awards, re-enter the VALORANT scene following a short stint in 2021.
The two organisations hope the alliance will create more opportunities for VALORANT players in the country.
They said in a release that the Indian gaming industry has now become less ‘dominated by a single title’, with other gaming starting to create more of a presence in the country. Highly popular esports titles PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India and Free Fire have all been banned in India in recent years.
The strategic partnership nevertheless comes at a time of esports growth within India. Late last year, the country’s government officially recognised esports as a multi-sport event.
Global Esports already has a significant footing in the Indian VALORANT scene due to the organisation being one of the partnered teams for VALORANT Champion Tour’s PACIFIC League. S8UL was created through a merger of two prominent Indian esports organisations, Soul and 8bit.

“This partnership will help us achieve our shared vision of creating a thriving and supportive gaming community in India.”
The press release also notes that S8UL and Global Esports will continue exploring more avenues to grow the partnership. Exact details of what this growth could entail have not been disclosed.
