The Evolution Championship Series (EVO), a fighting game tournament set to take place in Las Vegas this summer, has revealed its final lineup of games.

Street Fighter 6 will be making its EVO debut this year and will be joined by the likes of Tekken 7, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 11 and others. Tickets are also on sale for the event and EVO announced that all competitions will have a minimum prize pool of $25,000 (~£20,700).

First formed in 1996 as ‘Battle of the Bay’, EVO is the largest fighting game tournament in the world. The current version of the tournament was created in 2003 and has since grown to be one of the most prominent events in the fighting game community. The 2023 edition will take place in Las Vegas this August, and will feature a total of eight fighting games.

Once again, Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros will not be featured at the tournament, but there is an abundance of other titles to make up for it. The tournament will feature the yet unreleased Street Fighter 6, the latest iteration of the well-known fighting game, instead of Street Fighter 5. Street Fighter 6 will not be released until June 2023.

Fan-favourite titles such as TEKKEN and Mortal Kombat will return to EVO, and this year will see the first edition of a throwback tournament which will feature Marvel vs Capcom 3.

“This year we’re establishing $25,000 minimum prize pools for each tournament in our lineup, and continuing our efforts to improve the Evo event experience for players and fans.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
