Indian esports and gaming company Skyesports has announced two new hires as it looks to secure marketing and business partnerships with endemic and non-endemic brands.
As a result, Sashank Bhandaru and Shuchi Kulshreshtha have joined the company as its new Head of Global Business Partnerships and Head of Business Development and Strategy, respectively.
With over 12 years of experience in the gaming industry, Bhandaru joins Skyesports, having most recently held the position of India Marketing Head for GIGABYTE. He has also worked with brands like SteelSeries, Razer, Cooler Master, and Xanova to drive new product launches and enhance brand awareness through esports.
On the other hand, Kulshreshtha has a substantial track record in sports business development. With over five years of experience in marketing, she has served in key positions for the US Open and Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals.
Bhandaru and Kulshreshtha’s appointments come at a time when Skyesports has announced the biggest franchised esports league in India, the Skyesports Masters. The company is also in the midst of a regional expansion. The new employees will leverage their experience to partner with like-minded brands to popularise esports in the country and beyond. Additionally, having worked with the IPL’s Rajasthan Royals, Kulshreshtha will be working on growing the Skyesports Masters in a similar fashion.
