Esports and gaming streaming platform Loco has partnered with Indian esports company Skyesports.

As a result, Loco will host the 2023 edition of the Skyesports Champions Series on its platform. Loco will exclusively broadcast the ten-day Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament from June 9th to June 18th. The event sees BGMI teams compete for a share of INR 25 Lakhs (~£24,164) in prize money.

The Skyesports Champions Series is one of the first BGMI tournaments to be streamed on Loco following the game’s return to the Indian market in May 2023. The game was removed from the market allegedly due to concerns with developer KRAFTON‘s connection with Chinese conglomerate Tencent.

This isn’t the first time Loco and Skyesports have joined forces to host a tournament in India. In 2020, the streaming platform and organiser partnered to host the Skyesports Grandslam event which included competitions across Rainbow Six Siege and Clash of Clans.

Loco continues to establish itself as one of the top streaming platforms in India. In March 2022, the platform raised approximately $42m (INR 330 Crores) as part of a Series A funding round.

Ashwin Suresh, Founder of Loco, spoke on the deal: “We are excited to reunite with Skyesports to broadcast the Skyesports Champions Series 2023, which also marks the return of BGMI to the esports scene.

“Since the beginning, Loco has hosted over 90% of all BGMI tournaments including physical LAN events. Our previous partnership with Skyesports was marked by groundbreaking achievements and record-breaking content. The Skyesports Champions Series 2023 represents another milestone in our journey, as we continue to push the boundaries of Indian esports.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
