Indian esports organisation 7Sea has announced its entry into CS:GO by joining Indian franchised league, Skyesports Masters.

Skyesports Masters is set to start in July and last until August, with eight total franchised teams.

7Sea is an Indian company most known for its Battlegrounds Mobile: India and PUBG Mobile rosters that competed on a regional level. This is not only 7Sea’s first CS:GO roster, but it is the first time the organisation has entered a PC esports title.

7Sea Esports is owned by Southeast Asian company Ampverse, the owners of known esports brand Bacon Time.

Interestingly, 7Sea is not the only team making its debut in CS:GO for the Skyesports Masters. In June 2023, a notable Indian organisation Gods Reign was also announced as a part of the league with its first-ever CS:GO roster. The third organisation announced for the franchise league so far is Revenant Esports.

In addition to joining the league, 7Sea also announced that it plans to sign an additional two CS:GO players for its roster through the Skyespors Masters cafe qualifiers, a series of events that will take place in 20 Indian gaming cafes in an effort to find additional players for the teams.

Ashwin Haryani, the Country Head (India) at Ampverse, commented: “Happy to be part of the Skyesports Masters and excited to see the franchise format enter into the Indian esports industry in such a grand way.

“Skyesports has delivered some amazing IPs in the past and they will no doubt do a great job with this league as well. I am very hopeful that such events shall steer the esports ecosystem into a more profitable, mature, and stable industry.”
