Indian esports organisation Gods Reign has named advertising company Times OOH as its title sponsor for the second Battlegrounds Master Series (BGMS).

As a result of the deal, the two parties will join forces to utilise billboards across India to promote the organisation’s participation in the Battleground Mobile India series.

According to a release, billboards will appear across a number of cities including India’s capital city of Delhi and Bangalore. The announcement claimed that this is the first time an esports organisation in the region has utilised OOH advertising to promote its initiatives.

In addition to capturing gaming and esports fans, the organisation aims to cultivate fans from traditional sports to promote its participation in BGMS Season 2. The Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament will see Gods Reign and 23 other teams competing for INR 2.1 crore (~£199,000) in prize money. BGMS is already underway with the event set to conclude later this month.

Alongside competing in BGMI, the organisation expanded into CS:GO in June after being announced as a franchise for the Skyesports Masters, India’s first franchised CS:GO league operated by gaming and esports company Skyesports.

For Times OOH, partnering with Gods Reign marks the company’s first foray into the esports industry. It provides advertising solutions in high dwell time areas such as airports and India’s Metro stations.

K.R Rohith, CEO of Gods Reign, spoke on the deal: “Forming an alliance with Times OOH enables us to amplify our fundamental operations by enhancing the competitive prowess of our teams in the biggest Esports events in South Asia.

“This Partnership highlights our shared vision and dedication to fostering the best competitive experience for our fans by delivering exceptional performance,”
