ESI Birmingham, a one day esports business symposium connected to the UK’s first major ESL One Birmingham, is now less than one week away.

On Thursday 24th May, a day prior to the first day of the fastest selling Dota 2 major ever, we will host a one day conference in partnership with ESL UK, Intel, PwC and the NEC Group.

Taking place at The Foundry at Arena Birmingham, there will be six sessions in total, with four panels and two keynotes, as well as plenty of networking opportunities and an undoubtedly delicious lunch.

Tim Mangnall, Hugh Holland

Tim Mangnall is Director at Hugh Holland, who recently signed an agreement for selling global sponsorship rights on behalf of NODWIN Gaming, is amongst the speakers at ESI Birmingham. Mangnall will, appropriately, be sitting on a panel called ‘Where is the revenue?’ alongside speakers from the likes of Jagex, Heaven Media, Fnatic, Bitkraft with lawyer Anna Baumann in the moderator’s seat.

He told Esports Insider: “The global esports industry is one of fantastic scale and momentum, a growth story we’re witnessing some truly astounding results from, buoyed by a combination of experiential, online and commercial excellence that I truly believe is defining the future of effective media strategies worldwide.

“The UK esports profile delivers undeniable value on a global stage, hence why events such as Esports Insider Birmingham, and the full portfolio of ESI events provide a vital platform of engagement with an international audience like no other. Hugh Holland is proud to be represented at the ESI Birmingham, and will continue to champion the great results achieved at each event.”

Tickets remain available for the event on the Thursday, and attendees also receive access to the Dota 2 major, including the option for a particularly exclusive backstage tour on the Friday morning, as well as an official after party at the Grosvenor casino on the Thursday evening. It’s certainly one not to be missed.

You can check the full agenda here.

Media partners involved include our friends over at DBLTAP and Esports News UK, whilst there will be plenty more press there on the day, and of course for the weekend too as a historic weekend for esports in the UK takes place in central Birmingham. Make sure you’re a part of it!

Esports Insider says: This is one of our events. So clearly, we think you should come along. It is partnered with the likes of ESL UK, Intel, the NEC Group and it’s the first proper involvement of PwC at an esports business focused event. It includes extensive learning and networking opportunities, including an after party at the Grosvenor, and you get access to the fastest selling Dota 2 major; ESL One Birmingham. See you next week?

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
