Esports broadcast and content company LetsPlay.Live has announced the return of the LPL Clash Royale World Tour.
Developed in partnership with Clash Royale developer Supercell, the LPL Clash Royale World Tour will take place from November 13th-16th and features pro and open divisions.
The LPL Clash Royale World Tour is open to all players around the world with registrations opening on September 22nd and closing on October 2nd. Those who qualify for the open division will compete for a $2,500 (~£2042.02) prize pool.
The LPL Clash Royale World Tour pro division includes 16 players placed into a double-elimination bracket with matches taking place to determine the eventual champion. Those competing in the pro division will play for a share of $22,500 (~£18,378) in prize money. Moreover, those who don’t qualify for the pro division tournament are eligible to play in the open division.
Clash Royale is a notable, and growing, mobile esport in the Western world. In January 2023, Supercell announced the return of the Clash Royale League in addition to bringing back monthly competitions that have taken place throughout the year.
Joining forces with Supercell is another addition to LPL’s ever-expanding roster of partners. In September 2023, it partnered with NBL Oz Gaming, the esports branch of Australia’s National Basketball League, and game developer KRAFTON. The latter partnership will see LetsPlay.Live host PUBG tournaments for the APAC region.
