The EA Sports NHL 24 World Championship, the official esports series of NHL 24, has officially been announced.

In collaboration with the NHL, the tournament’s 2024 edition will see an improved qualification process and a condensed season format.

The 2024 NHL World Championship will feature a variety of in-person and online tournaments using EA Sports‘ latest interaction of the ice hockey title. All 32 NHL Clubs will operate tournaments to crown a champion that will qualify for the North American Championship.

Six players, four from North America and two from Europe, will qualify for the World Final to compete for a championship belt and a ‘grand prize’. EA Sports did not disclose details regarding the prize pool.

In addition to a new World Championship schedule, EA Sports unveiled details on the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series, a four-team tournament involving teams from New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey will compete in a mini-tournament with the eventual winners receiving a hockey experience and trophy.

EA Sports remains a household name in the world of sports simulation games. In September 2023, it unveiled its new esports ecosystem for EA Sports FC, its rebranding football game franchise.

Chris Golier, Vice President of Business Development and Technology Partnerships at NHL Group, spoke on the news: “Adding the 32 Club Championship events during last season’s competition was a very successful way to increase the opportunity for the NHL gaming community to get involved.

“We continue to stress fun and inclusiveness when finalising our season format and this season’s tournament should provide everyone with memorable experiences.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
