Esports tournament organiser BLAST has announced a partnership with Denmark’s official tourism organisation Visit Denmark ahead of the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Final Copenhagen 2023.

The partnership will be focused on promoting the country as a gaming-friendly destination and esports hub.

Visit Denmark is the official tourism organisation of Denmark, which is tasked with promoting the country internationally and attracting tourists. The organisation’s partnership with BLAST will be focused primarily on the upcoming Fall Final, set to take place in late November at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Fall Final is the latest in a string of high-profile esports events that have visited Denmark’s capital this year. Both the BLAST Rainbow Six Major and FNCS Global Championship took place in the city in 2023. Copenhagen also hosted the previous edition of the BLAST Premier Fall Final, with officials noting that the overall economic impact of that tournament was around $8.8m (~£7.05m).

The CEO of Visit Denmark, Katja Moesgaard, highlighted that the tournament is a remarkable oportunity to showcase Denmark as an innovative and modern country. Moreover, he stated that using esports helps attract a global audience that might someday come and visit the country in which some of the biggest Counter-Strike stars are from.

Some of BLAST Premier Fall Final’s other sponsors include skin trading platform CS.MONEY and shipping company Maersk.

Alexander Lewin, VP of Distribution and Programming for BLAST, commented on the partnership: “Denmark is not only a leading destination for world travellers but it has also positioned itself as a place of choice for esports and gaming fans – 2023 has shown the variety and depth of this offering with three tier one arena events taking place in Copenhagen for fans to attend and enjoy.

“We are delighted to be teaming up with a leading destination partner in Visit Denmark to support them in promoting this beautiful country to a global audience tuning in for the BLAST Premier Fall Final at Royal Arena.”

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
