National esports body British Esports Federation (British Esports) and educational services company Pearson have introduced new educational qualifications.

Known as Higher Nationals in Esports, the qualifications aim to provide opportunities for people to further their education and career within the esports industry.

The Level 4 Higher National Certificate and Level 5 Higher National Diploma will join British Esports and Pearson‘s existing range of esports qualifications, which includes BTECs and a Level 3 National for students aged 16 and above.

According to a release, the new qualifications are equivalent to the first and second years of a University undergraduate degree. The Higher National qualification utilises a work-related curriculum in order to give students the key skills required to find employment within the esports industry.

The new British Esports and Pearson esports qualifications will be the subject of a webinar taking place on November 30th, offering prospective students a chance to see the possibilities they offer to the UK’s esports educational system.

In addition to the UK, Pearson also provides qualifications in Vietnam. The country’s University of Technology and Management will offer BTEC courses to provide students with a range of skills including broadcasting and building an esports brand.

Kalam Neale, Head of Education at British Esports, spoke on the news: “When we partnered with Pearson four years ago to launch the world’s first Esports BTECs, we did so with the intention of creating a workforce well-prepared for the challenges and changes this fast-moving industry has seen.

“Today, we’re proud to launch the Higher Nationals in Esports to continue to strengthen the workforce of the future, and give students greater options and accessibility when pursuing a career in esports or elsewhere.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
