Community tournament organizer Beyond Entertainment announced the brand, website and platform has been acquired by Logitech. Beyond has been partners with ASTRO Gaming for the past four years which was acquired by Logitech last year. That $85m(£64m) deal helped the company appeal more to the console market as Logitech products have mostly focused on PC gaming. While the announcement did not release finer details, the Beyond staff will now join forces with Logitech and ASTRO.

Ujesh Desai, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech Gaming commented: “One topic I’m incredibly passionate about is inclusivity. Working with Beyond is a great way for us to help make sure that everyone, even if they can’t play at the professional level, can enjoy being a part of the esports community. We’re incredibly excited to be working with Beyond and can’t wait to help them take what they’re already doing to the next level.”

Beyond currently conducts tournaments in Call of Duty, Halo and Rocket League.

Joseph Bentley, Founder of Beyond Entertainment stated: “Beyond has always had a specific vision and strategy to contribute to the esports community. By working alongside ASTRO Gaming since 2014, we have not only been able to accomplish our goals but exceed them as well. The Beyond team is thrilled to be officially joining the LOGITECH G and ASTRO family, and we can’t wait to provide more experiences and opportunities for competitors and viewers alike.”

Logitech already invests heavily in esports, sponsoring major teams like Team SoloMid, NRG and London Spitfire along with events like Gfinity Australia Elite Series and Super League Gaming.

Esports Insider says: This acquisition opens a floodgate of opportunities for Beyond Entertainment. While the announcement didn’t discuss specific details it looks as if Logitech wants to get more involved with smaller community tournaments. After all, esports thrives on grassroots communities like Beyond.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
