PUBG Corp sues Fortnite studio for copyright infringement
PUBG Corporation has filed a copyright violation lawsuit against Epic Games’ Fortnite, according to a representative.
Both PUBG and Fortnite are popular titles in the Battle Royale genre, and the corporation believes that it’s protecting its copyright by filing the suit. There’s a lack of details beyond what we’ve mentioned at the moment, so there’s no knowing how this lawsuit will turn out.

Aston Villa FC launch FIFA esports league in partnership with EGL
Aston Villa FC has entered esports in a big way, launching its own esports series – AVFC Gaming – alongside European Gaming League (EGL).
This league will see FIFA 18 be the game of choice, played on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be split into four parts: a qualifier, a last-chance qualifier, a wildcard tournament, and the final.

Logitech acquires Beyond Entertainment
Community tournament organiser Beyond Entertainment has been acquired by Logitech – this includes its brand, website, and platform.
This deal is a way for Logitech to enable competitors of every level to compete, giving a platform for amateur and aspiring players. Beyond currently runs tournaments for Call of Duty, Halo, and Rocket League.

Mixer to bring 15,000 hours of esports content with ESL partnership
After celebrating being under the management of Microsoft for an entire year, Mixer has entered a media deal with ESL that will see “15,000 hours of programming” from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and Dota 2 come to the streaming platform.
ESL has an exclusive broadcast deal with Facebook for the ESL One series of tournaments, and Mixer currently provides replays for the ESL Pro League, so a similar situation could spawn out of the deal. No further details have been released at this time.
