Cloud9 has brought on world famous energy drinks brand Red Bull as a major sponsor, making it the organisation’s official energy drink sponsor.

As part of this deal, Red Bull’s logo will be emblazoned on Cloud9’s jerseys and will provide “fitness training, sleep analysis, and other programs” for the players.

Cloud9 has released a look at the new jersey design that all of its players will wear from now on, and it’ll be official debuted in a competitive capacity in the organisation’s first NA LCS match on June 24th against 100 Thieves.

The two parties previously had a partnership, but Red Bull was forged to drop its LCS team sponsorships when it competed in the EU LCS Challenger Series in 2017. In the end, Team RB disbanded at the beginning of 2018, and evidently Red Bull wanted to get back involved with Cloud9.

Jack Etienne, Founder & CEO of Cloud9 said: “We love what Red Bull brings to the table as partners and are sure they’re going to help us take our game to the next level.”

This sponsorship encompasses all of the teams that represent the organisation competitively. Here are all of the titles that Cloud9 currently competes in: League of Legends, CS:GO, Overwatch (League and Contenders), Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Melee, PUBG, Hearthstone, Clash Royale, Fortnite, and H1Z1.

Cloud9’s other partners include Twitch, HTC, iBUYPOWER, HyperX, Crunchyroll, MSI, NEEDforSEAT USA, and LoLwiz. Red Bull has plenty of experience in the esports industry: hosting competitions such as Red Bull Conquest and Red Bull Proving Grounds, producing content surrounding numerous scenes, sponsoring Tempo Storm, having its own LCS team, and plenty of other activities.

Esports Insider says: It’s great to see Red Bull reinstate its position with Cloud9. With a look at the jersey too, it’s clear that they’re being loud and proud about the partnership.
