Esports company and tournament organiser ESL FACEIT Group has partnered with gaming peripherals manufacturer Logitech.

As a result of the deal, the manufacturer’s Logitech G PRO Series brand will become the official gaming gear of the ESL Pro Tour and ESL Impact Counter-Strike circuits.

The partnership between ESL FACEIT Group and Logitech begins at the IEM Masters event in Cologne, Germany on August 7th. During the event, Logitech G PRO Series equipment will be ‘highlighted’ by some players competing. In addition, the partnership will see Logitech integrate itself into the player lounges to provide those competing with high-end equipment.

Alongside all IEM tournaments and ESL Impact competitions, the partnership spans across Season 20 of the ESL Pro League and the ESL Challenger League, which has entered its 48th season this year.

Logitech continues to cement its position as one of the largest gaming hardware manufacturers in the world. In July, it launched its G309 Lightspeed gaming mouse in addition to partnering with the Esports World Cup, a multi-title event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

For ESL FACEIT Group, partnering with Logitech is another example of the company expanding its portfolio. In April, it secured a five-year deal with Saudi Arabian entertainment megaproject Qiddiya City while May saw it join forces with entertainment news publication Rolling Stone to launch a new gaming vertical.

Marc Winther, Game Ecosystems Director for Counter-Strike at ESL FACEIT Group, spoke on the deal: “We are thrilled to partner with Logitech G PRO Series as the Official Gaming Gear of ESL Pro Tour and ESL Impact circuit.

“Especially at the highest level of competition, peripheral performance can mean the difference between a clutch play or a round loss. Logitech G understands the unique needs of gamers and competitors, and we share a joint commitment in pushing the boundaries of performance in the world’s biggest esports arenas.”
