The workshops take place across the two main days of the event (September 24th and 25th). Whether you’re there to learn more about pressing topics, contribute your expertise, or network with leaders in a specific niche, the workshops at ESI Lisbon offer something for everyone.

1. the*gamehers PowHER Play Social

Access: Open to everyone. Register your interest here.

Date: September 24th, 11:30am-12:30pm

About: True to its roots, women-focused gaming platform the*gamehers is leading a gamified networking roundtable to kick things off in the workshop room at ESI Lisbon. The organisation aims to amplify diversity and inclusivity by providing a dedicated space to bring together women who game (or work in gaming).

Expect a welcoming, intimate atmosphere with an interactive programme that will help ignite meaningful conversations and nurture authentic relationships. Attendees can expect to meet potential collaborators, find mentors or simply connect with those who share their interests. the*gamehers says it’s a chance to be part of a movement that’s changing the tech industry, empowering women and fostering innovation.

2. The New Arena: Smart TVs Are The New Home of Esport Spectatorship

Access: By invitation only. Apply to join the workshop here.

Date: September 24th, 2:00pm-3:00pm

About: We don’t talk much about TVs in esports. Samsung Ads wants to change that. With Samsung, advertisers can own 100% share of voice on the biggest screen in the home. Paired with seamless navigation to esports-relevant apps like Twitch and YouTube, and a growth of interest in esports across demographics, the future of event spectatorship from home may well be transitioning to the living room.

This workshop will explore what that means for brands and advertisers. Join Sean Smith, Senior Sales Manager (Gaming) at Samsung Ads, for a discussion on how smart TVs can become the new home for event spectatorship.

3. Empowering Communities Through the Power of Play

Access: Open to everyone. Register your interest here.

Date: September 25th, 11:30am-12:30pm

About: Scholastic esports is a valuable conduit for building a strong sense of community, developing soft skills, and opening up pathways beyond gaming for youth. Done right, the benefits are obvious, winning support from sceptical stakeholders.

Join this session to dive into the ecosystems and communities of practice that support successful scholastic esports programmes, discussing how they can be used to provide young people with valuable opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills. Workshop organisers and sector leaders NASEF will offer practical insights into a framework for building and growing a valuable esports programme.

4. Gaming: This generation’s ultimate passion point

Access: By invitation only. Apply to join the workshop here.

Date: September 25th, 1:00pm-2:00pm

About: Why, should, and how do brands enter gaming & esports? In this rapid-fire workshop Will Avery, a Commercial Strategist at UNiDAYS, will cover UNiDAYS’ mission in one minute, what they’re doing in gaming in another minute, then in under five minutes explain why they’re pivoting to gaming as a passion point to talk to their target demographic.

What follows will be a candid discussion on those points, picking apart the details and arriving on a best practice for connecting to the next generation through gaming — with actionable takeaways for brands & stakeholders far and wide.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
