Esports tournament organiser ESL FACEIT Group has announced that its DreamHack Dallas and IEM Dallas events will return to the city in 2025.

The DreamHack and IEM events will take place at the Key Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center on May 23rd-25th.

According to a release, 2024’s DreamHack Dallas event recorded ‘over 55,000 attendees from all 50 states and 58 countries’ resulting in it being the brand’s largest festival. The event featured esports tournaments, LAN parties, cosplay competitions, and more. Applications for content creators for the 2025 event are now open.

IEM Dallas will feature 16 Counter-Strike teams competing across six days to crown a champion. Details on the prize pool of the event have not been disclosed. The tournament begins with the group stage on May 19th while the playoffs commence on May 23rd. IEM Dallas forms part of the Intel Grand Slam, an initiative where teams can win $1m (~£789,620) in prize money for winning multiple ESL events throughout the year.

DreamHack remains one of ESL FACEIT Group’s largest event brands. In June, the festival extended and expanded its existing partnership with Swedish telecommunications company Tele2 as the event’s official supplier and broadband partner.

North America remains a major market for ESL FACEIT Group. In November, it selected the city of Raleigh, North Carolina to host an ESL One Dota 2 event in 2025. The event marks the first ESL One event to take place in the United States in six years.

DreamHack’s Indian event has also grown to be the country’s largest gaming festival. Its 2024 event saw it host the Snapdragon Pro Series, Call of Duty Mobile, BGMI, and VALORANT competitions.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
