Mountain Dew has teamed with ELC Gaming, the company behind Big Betty, to host a new competition for amateur teams: the Game Fuel League.

Played on Rocket League, this newly-formed league will take place in four countries around Europe – namely the United Kingdom, Denmark, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Following from the four tournaments, the winning team from each will qualify to a European grand finale at Insomnia 63 – where the overall victor will win the opportunity to bootcamp with Team Dignitas at Philadelphia 76ers‘ training facility.

Alexander de Boissezon, Business Development Manager for ELC Gaming told Esports Insider: “ELC is proud to have Big Betty decorated in Mountain Dew’s colours for the inaugural Game Fuel League tournament. We are all very excited to see some incredible stories created throughout this event, helping passionate amateurs have their chance to compete on the big stage and kick-start their aspiring esports careers.”

The teams will be granted the opportunity to compete on Big Betty, a truck that can transform into an esports arena and streaming centre in no time at all. This imaginative initiative is the brainchild of ELC Gaming. Insomina 63 will take place on August 24-27th at the NEC in Birmingham. Tickets are available now.

Mark Kirkham, Head of Marketing & Innovation for PepsiCo West Europe Beverages discussed the league: “With a recognised heritage in gaming, Mountain Dew is proud to partner with the award-winning game Rocket League to offer opportunities and access typically beyond the reach of amateur gamers. The campaign will drive forward the culture of gaming and help to further establish Mountain Dew as an authentic enabler in this space, playing a leading role in the lives of gaming communities across Europe.”

Esports Insider says: Mountain Dew is a long-term supporter of esports, but it’s still a pleasant surprise to see the company invest in amateur gamers around Europe. The opportunity to bootcamp with Team Dignitas – the current world chmpions in Rocket League – is also a great opportunity for the winning team.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
