Arrow League, an organisation that hosts tournaments for universities in the UK, has partnered with the university esports body National Student Esports (NSE).

Arrow League will be working with NSE in the next academic year to run tournaments on Dota 2 and Rocket League – pending approval from Psyonix – under the Official University Championship banner.

Declan Murphy, Managing Director of Arrow League commented on the partnership: “Arrow League joining forces with NSE allows us to deliver an unparalleled experience in university esports — something Arrow couldn’t have done by itself. We can’t wait to start working together on our shared vision.”

NSE was already set to deliver tournaments on Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in the new academy year prior to this collaboration.

Chris “Hench” Henshaw, League Operations Manager at NSE added: “We’re excited to work with the Arrow League team to develop the Dota 2 Championship. They bring invaluable experience and have done a fantastic job serving both Dota 2 and Rocket League players at university. We look forward to a long term partnership and great first year.”

The NSE is partnered by British Universities & College Sport (BUCS), a national governing body for sports in UK universities. The aim from BUCS is to help support NSE in its mission to develop the esports scene in universities across the nation.

Esports Insider says: Making esports a staple in universities is one way to help strengthen the industry, introducing people to the phenomenon and making them realise there are plenty of opportunities in the scene. NSE has a good motive, and Arrow League getting involved in the action even more seems like a strong move.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
