PGL and Imba TV are partnering up once again to bring the PGL PUBG Fall Invitational to the PGL Studio in Bucharest. The organiser is looking to repeat the success of the Spring Invitational that took place back in March.

The PGL PUBG Fall Invitational will run from October 11-14. 16 teams are competing, no names have been announced yet but spring champions Ghost Gaming are expected to return. This time around, we could also see names like Gen. G, Welcome to South Georgo and Team Liquid on the PGL studio.

In the spring, eleven teams were invited to the event and another five competed in qualifiers in North America, Europe, and South America. It remains unclear if the Fall Invitational will follow the same format as the spring edition. Hyper X and Secretlab are returning as sponsors for the tournament. The players are competing for part of the $100,000 (£77,000) prize pool.

PGL’s is one of biggest battle royale events at the moment, the number one being the PUBG Global Invitational organized by PUBG Corp.

PUBG recently celebrated 50 million units sold, according to reports from PUBG Corp, there are 400 million players around the world. The developer succeeded at organizing a global event with regional qualifiers and is hoping to grow even more in 2019.

PUBG has begun to form a solid scene with official events organized by the publisher, and tournaments created by third parties. The number of events will only grow in the following years as more organisation create PUBG squads.

Esports Insider says: Not all popular games develop successful competitive leagues, but seems like PUBG found the perfect formula. Whereas Fortnite is doing well with the casual players, the organisations are paying more attention to PUBG. As the game evolves and the tournaments grow, we’re going to see more PUBG.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
