North American esports organisation compLexity Gaming has announced a new partnership with Epics, a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive trading card app.
Epics creates fully-licensed digital cards that have player pictures and statistics, in which the latter is updated regularly. It operates on a revenue-sharing system that sees teams receive a cut of card purchases when they’re collected by fans.

compLexity Gaming said the following in its announcement: “As past generations grew, trading card games were all the rage. While the physical medium took a dip, the digital age revives this childhood nostalgia and gives it a fresh and unique touch. Today we are excited to announce a new partnership with Epics, bringing you that thrill and nostalgia with an all new CS:GO collection!”
Epics has added compLexity Gaming to its list of partnered teams, which includes: Astralis, BIG, Heroic, G2 Esports, MIBR, mousesports, MVP, Ninjas in Pyjamas, OpTic Gaming, SK Gaming, Space Soldiers, and Virtus.pro, among others.
The Texas-based organisation is also partnered with streaming platform Twitch and apparel brand H4X. In July, we spoke to Daniel Herz, Chief Revenue Officer at compLexity Gaming about the H4X partnership and what it entails.
compLexity Gaming will be competing at the FACEIT Major in London, starting in The Minors’ Champions portion of the event after winning the Americas Minor at the Twickenham Stadium in July. The Major kicks off on September 5th, and will conclude on the 23rd with one team taking home $500,000 (£384,272.50).
Esports Insider says: The nostalgia is real with these trading cards, but the best bit is that it helps to support the teams and players. Over time, we expect to see a good portion of the professional CS:GO scene having presence on Epics’ app.
