Riot Games has upgraded its PCs and equipment to resolve the technical issues that have plagued VCT EMEA Stage 1.

As a result, the VALORANT event will resume on Friday, May 2nd at 5 pm CEST / 4 pm BST.

VCT EMEA revealed that the match between Team Liquid and Karmine Corp will pick up from where it left off, with TL leading by 1-0. In the second series of the day, Fnatic will battle against Team Heretics for first seed heading into the playoffs.

Over the past 48 hours, Riot has conducted continuous playtests with both the internal team members and professional players across various maps.

“During the pro-player playtests, feedback indicated that the new infrastructure has substantially improved performance compared to earlier in Stage 1. However, some sporadic issues were raised during the early rounds of maps, despite the effects being much less than previously reported during the stage,” Riot revealed.

The team will continue to investigate the early-round issues reported by players to make sure everything goes smoothly during the matches.

Apart from the hardware, another major change before the Team Liquid vs. Karmine Corp series resumes includes the map veto process. Since Split has already been played, both teams will pick the other two maps again. This decision has been made to prevent either side from gaining a preparation advantage.

“This ensures no team gains a preparation advantage from previously guaranteed map picks, while maintaining the competitive spirit of the veto process, where a level of uncertainty around map bans and selections is essential for both teams,” Riot stated.

Lastly, the Riot Games Arena in Berlin will not host a live audience for these matches; however, fans will still be able to catch all the action live on VCT EMEA official Twitch and YouTube channels.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
