Caffeine receives $100M from 21st Century Fox, launching joint-venture
Social broadcasting platform Caffeine announced a funding round led by 21st Century Fox, which invested $100 million (£77 million) itself.
The two parties will launch a joint-venture named Caffeine Studios, creating exclusive content on esports, video games, sports, and live entertainment. Caffeine has also entered a content partnership with media conglomerate Live Nation.

Overwatch League completes expansion, adds Vancouver and Chengdu
Activision Blizzard has reportedly completed its roster of expansion teams ahead of Overwatch League’s second season in 2019.
The eight new expansion slots are reported to have gone to Vancouver, Chengdu, Atlanta, Washington, Toronto, Paris, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou.

Team Dignitas enters multi-year partnership with Champion
International esports organisation Team Dignitas has signed a multi-year deal with sportswear giant Champion.
Champion will become the organisation’s official jersey, casual wear and athletic wear provider – and will launch an online retail platform alongside Team Dignitas’ rebrand later this year.

OpTic Gaming announces expansion into Brazil
North American esports organisation OpTic Gaming has expanded into Brazil, aiding it its quest to become a “global leader in gaming entertainment”.
Acquiring a Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, OpTic Brazil is an entirely-female team that has placed very well in the past. It now has three CS:GO teams, including a Danish roster and an Indian squad.
