The Call of Duty: Warzone May 13th patch notes feature several changes that could impact the battle royale’s competitive scene. In addition to addressing various issues, developers of the battle royale title have also adjusted its dedicated competitive mode.

The May 13th update is the second update to go live following the launch of Season 3 Reloaded, which saw the debut of Warzone Ranked Play on the Verdansk map and the arrival of the Ladra submachine gun (SMG), which has since become the most popular close-range weapon.

Here’s everything fans need to know about the May 13th patch notes, including how the update will influence Warzone’s growing esports scene.

Movement Bugs Receive Fixes

Throughout the second half of Season 3, Warzone players have encountered a movement bug resulting in slower aim-down sight speeds when laying prone or crouching.

The Warzone May 13th patch notes reveal that the issue is now resolved. Players can move around the map while having correct values when reacting to a nearby target.

For esports players competing in Warzone tournaments, movement is key to making it into the latter stages of a match. Having the correct reaction aim-down sight speeds while prone and crouching will see players utilising Omnimovement further to gain the upper hand.

Alongside fixes to movement, the May 13th update has fixed Warzone’s inconsistent revive times. Prior to the update, players spent longer amounts of time reviving downed teammates, resulting in slower gameplay.

Ranked Play Adjustments

Ranked Play’s debut on Verdansk has proven popular among fans looking for a more competitive iteration of Warzone. During Ranked Play matches, a set of random public events occur, adding another layer of strategy.

The third circle of Ranked Play matches will now feature a Restock public event instead of a Fire Sale. Restock refills all loot caches, offering players another opportunity to obtain weaponry, armour plates, and other items.

As a result of the change, Buy Stations will no longer offer discounted rates on loadout drops and killstreaks, adding a greater focus on the in-game economy.
